Ragi Manchow Soup/ Finger Millet Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Ragi Flour
  • 5 Cup Water
  • 2 TSP Oil
  • 1-inch Cinnamon
  • 5 Cloves Garlic, Sliced
  • 2 chilli, finely chopped
  • 1/2 onion,
  • 1/2 carrot,
  • 100 gms French Beans
  • 50 gms Green Peas
  • 50 TBSP Cabbage, Shredded
  • 2 TBSP Sweet Corn
  • 2 TBSP Spring Onion
  • 1 TSP Salt
  • 1/2 TSP Black Pepper Powder
  • 2 TBSP Lemon Juice

Method

  • In a bowl take 1/2 cup ragi flour and mix with 1 cup water.
  • Make sure there are no lumps in the ragi slurry.
  • In a large pan heat 2 tsp oil. add all the veggies and saute it for 3-4 mins.
  • Now add water, salt, and pepper and mix well and boil for 3-4 minutes, so that the water turns flavourful. you can alternatively use vegetable stock here.
  • Now add ragi slurry and stir it continuously for 2 minutes.
  • Boil until ragi is cooked well and turns glossy.
  • Add lemon juice and garnish the soup with spring onion and enjoy it>
